THE BEGINNING
Murree Brewery was established in 1860 and incorporated a year later at Ghora Galli, located in the Pir Punjal range of the Western Himalayas.

PARK LODGE
Park Lodge, a handsome residential property was purchased by the company from Mrs. H. Whymper in 1888.

MATURED WHISKIES
A Ziemann (German) brewhouse was installed in 1967 and “Saladin” Box Maltings in 1971. Also in the late sixties, it was decided to embark on an ambitious long-term program to mature Malt Whiskies.

By the turn of the 20th century, the name “Murree” was famous for its beer in keg and bottle in the bars, beer halls and army messes of British India.
